The signal properties of gold nanorods as a contrast agent of spectroscopic optical coherence tomography system is studied and evaluated. The absorption and scattering characteristics of nanoparticles were studied by comparison with standard particles. Besides absorption, gold nanoparticles also have some scattering effects.
