Assessment of parameters windows and tool pin profile on mechanical property and microstructural morphology of FSWed AA2014 joints
2019
SN Applied Sciences
The role of optimized parameters in deciding the qualities of the friction stir welded joint of 2014 aluminium alloy in terms of the mechanical properties and microstructural features was investigated in this research. A wide range of process parameters viz: tool shoulder diameter, tool pin profile, plunge depth, tool rotation speed and welding speed were selected and their individual effects on the tensile as well as microstructural properties variations were studied in detail.
