Utilization of Slag,-zA method of ut, i lizing slag, in use at the blast furnaces at Osnabriick, in Hanover, is to allow it to fall in a Btream from a height of about eight feet into water. It is thus granulated into particles of the size of a bean. From the water tank it is lifted by an elevator into cars and conveyed away, to be used m ballasting the roads and railwa~ys.
