Assessment of Free Radical Scavenging Potentials of Extracts of Trametes lactinea Collected from Akure

The total phenolic and flavonoid contents, as well as the in vitro radical scavenging potentials of extracts of Trametes lactinea collected from forest near the Teaching and Research farm of the Federal University of Technology, Akure were assessed. The acetone extract possessed higher total phenolic content (3.21 mg GAE gG 1 ), whereas, the methanol extract had higher total flavonoid content (1.46 mg RE gG 1 ).
