which will yield much acid, but cannot in every case be roasted in existing pyrite burners. It is recommended that the use of artificial fertilizer be encouraged by demonstration and experiment, by decreased freight rates, and by securing adequate supplies of phosphate rock. Also that a high rate of depreciation on acid plants be allowed in income tax calculation; and that public compensation be given for plants that are ordered scrapped.
