Nano-electronic switches: Light-induced switching of the conductance of molecular systems
2009
Journal of Materials Chemistry
This Highlight reviews recent advances in developing light-controlled molecular switches that can be of use for molecular and organic electronics. Scheme 1 Optical molecular switching: if the direction of switching is wavelength-dependent, then a system employing the molecule will be photoswitchable in a reversible manner.
