... i c i n 1997. There have been vari ous research papers deal t wi th general desi gn i ssues of Beyel er museum such as composi ti on of exhi bi ti on spaces, and natural l i ghti ng. However, thi s paper ai ms to study the desi gn methods and rel ati onshi p between art, archi tecture and nature. Al though the museum bui l di ng i s l ocated on the si te qui etl y, there are vari ous speci fi c desi gn sol uti ons to create uni que spati al experi ence of art and nature at each parts. Thi s study focuses on 4 parts of the museum that are l ocated on the mai n ci rcul ati on. How art, archi tecture and nature are i ntegrated together i s the mai n target of the anal ysi s. The anal ysi s i s based on vi sual -perceptual experi ence and spati al confi gurati on. In chapter 2, general background of the proj ect was studi ed. In chapter 3, characteri sti cs of the si te's natural envi ronment and Pi ano's desi gn concept's were exami ned. In chapter 4, each parts were anal yzed i n detai l wi th di agrams. In chapter 5 & 6, the spati al characteri sti cs were compared together and the fundamental rol e of the museum archi tecture was concl uded.
