English Language Teaching Methods in Uganda: From Past to Present

This study was a response to numerous complaints in the media about students' inability to communicate effectively in English which was blamed on ineffective teachers of English language. A historical review of the teaching methods which have been used in Uganda from colonial times to present date is presented below.
