The effects and mechanism on the enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulose by metal ions were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fluorescence Spectra, and enzymatic kinetics and activity analyses of the enzymatic hydrolysis system. Fe 3+ exerted the best enzymatic hydrolysis effect on pretreated wheat straw, and the highest reducing sugar conversion was 44.5%.
