Runge is Professor of English at the University of South Florida. She has published on pedagogy, gender and women authors from the eighteenth century, including Gender and Language in British Literary Criticism, 1660-1790 (Cambridge) and "Teaching Eighteenth-century Women Writers" in Literature Compass (2010).
