... telligence in the system of shadow «autonomous» power, their detriment to the fate of the USSR. Methods of research. The paper uses a set of scientific methods and approaches, including systemic, historical, logical, which allowed to ensure the conceptual unity and effectiveness of the research. Results of the work. The article substantiates the need for further study of the experience of using such special state shadow asymmetric means of counteracting hostile competitive influence as shadow political and economic intelligence, its role in the functioning of the phenomenon of shadow «autonomous» power, development of inter–imperialist processes in the late Soviet period. Application of results. The system of sciences from the field of government, economic security, law, a wide range of problems of socio–economic sciences from the study of dysfunctional development. Conclusions. The main results of the study, their theoretical results should be reduced to the following conclusions: 1) the main focus of modern shadow processes in the power sphere is the shadow «autonomous» power, the development of which is global in nature; 2) during the Soviet era, the government actively used its potential, which in the late Soviet period acquired a developed intra–competitive form; 3) the gradient of the shadowy late Soviet power was neo–imperialist influence in interaction with the USА elite; 4) shadow political and economic intelligence under modern conditions [...]
