PREVALENCE OF DENGUE PATIENTS IN DIFFERENT HOSPITALS

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. These may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes two to seven days. A total of 130 patients was included in the study. The mean age of the patients was 41.56±2.87 years, mean age of the females was 39.23±3.67 years and mean age of males was 43.31±4.78 years. more » ... [54%] females and 60 [46%] males in the study. Probable patients were those, whose IgG and IgM were negative. Confirm patients were those who IgG and IgM were positive. Out of 130, thirty patients were labelled as probable and 40 patients were labelled as confirm patients. Keywords: Dengue fever
