Fourteen soybean genotypes including seven each of grain and vegetable types were evaluated for fourteen characters. Analysis of variance indicated significant differences among the genotypes for different traits. The phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) was higher than genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV). The high values of GCV and PCV observed for 100 seed weight, seed yield and harvest index. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for days to 50%
