New copper(II) complex [Cu(Hppza)(CH 3 COO) 2 ]·2H 2 O was synthesized via the interaction of Cu(CH 3 COO) 2 •H 2 O with the unsymmetrical pyrazine-modulated dipyridylamine ligand -Hppza. The crystal structure, spectral and magne-tic properties of this complex are determined.
