The objective of this study was to demonstrate the environmental impacts of solid residues of Pelotas City-Brazil through photography. The population must perform proper segregation, conditioning and discharging of the housing residues. The selective collection and recycling must be prioritized for the proper management of the solid residues of the city to occur. Educative environmental programs covering the different levels of the society are a necessity. Additionally, such programs are important for the proper sustainable development of the city and also to improve the quality of life of the population.
