Early Background My understanding of Sidney's transition from mainstream economist to Post Keynesian economist tracks back to his earliest work in microeconomics, or what was then called price theory. He started as a price theorist, a Marshallian theorist who wrote a long doctoral dissertation on questions of market structure, competition, monopoly pricing and so on.
