This qualitative study explored the role of an online community for English teachers, English Companion Ning (ECN), in the professional learning of university English teachers in Pakistan. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, weekly guided tours of the ECN, field notes, ECN artifacts/documents and researcher memos. These teachers got an opportunity to improve their teaching methods by reflecting on their pedagogical practices and solved their professional issues in the supportive and collaborative environment of the ECN community. This study suggests that teachers of different subject areas should explore, join, and learn from different online professional learning communities and social networking sites to improve their professional learning.
