A novel that captures the joy to be had from clinical examination

A novel has taught me about the joy to be had from clinical examination, something that none of my teachers or textbooks managed when I was a medical student and junior doctor. Sceptical about the whole enterprise of activities like listening to heart sounds, I wondered about both the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of this mysterious act.
