Hexacoordinate dianionic silicates [(C4H2C>4)2Si(NCS)2r [BH + ]2 (where Β = py (1), 3-mepy (2), 4-mepy (3)) bearing two seven membered rings around silicon atom are obtained from the reactions between appropriate cationic five coordinate silicon (IV) compounds [6] and maleic acid. All the compounds are characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance data as well as IR and Ή, 13 C NMR spectroscopy.
