Staff dose calculation during a cobalt-60 source stuck

One of the most pos tu lated ac ci dents in 60 Co ra dio ther apy units is the source get ting stuck, where one or more of the staff should en ter the treat ment room to deal with the prob lem. For such an ac ci dent, an emer gency plan is im por tant. A three-di men sional model of a 60 Co ther apy room has been done us ing the Monte Carlo code MCNP4B.
