Antimicrobial fabric is gaining significant importance during recent years. As synthetic antimicrobial agents are non-eco-friendly and non-biodegradable, there is an increased demand in the usage of natural antimicrobial agents for functional finishes to textiles. The present study focused on the ecofriendly cotton knit fabric which was subjected to selected three herbs for its activity tests and applied to the material by microencapsulation, to test for its antimicrobial activity.
