In this paper, the authors present an approach towards modeling a classical expert system using an ontology-based solution. The aim was to have an extensible setup, where multiple reasoning methods can be used, to provide the desired outcome. The case study, is a hierarchical rule-based system, for the evaluation of reference ECG signals called the Minnesota Code.
