A case of severe 'Haemorrhagic enteritis' was reported in a striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena) at Nandankanan Zoological Park, Odisha, India. The clinical signs, haematological parameters, serum biochemistry showed similarity to a viral infection like 'Canine Parvovirus infection (CPV)'. The hyena was under regular vaccination against CPV using multivalent vaccine meant for domestic dogs.
