To identified the risk factors for hospitalized patiens with cirrhosis developed renal dysfunction. By case control method , the clinic data of 221 patients were retrospective studied. In multivariate logistic regression analysis model , possible risk factors , including age , serum levels of album , prothrombin time , encephopathy , spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) , occurrence of esophageal varivceal bleeding , ascites , or treatment with i. v. aminoglycosids were identified. 27

Patients who developed renal dysfunction were more likely to have ascites (OR = 12168 95 %CI = 2104-1818) , SBP (OR = 2152 , 95 %CI = 1158-2173) , treatment with i. v. aminoglycosids (OR = 5124 95 % CI = 2178-1514) , the score of Child-Pugh was Child C (OR = 5119 95 % CI = 4102-618). Ascite was an independent risk factor for development renal dysfunction for patients with cirrhosis. Ascites was an independent risk factor for development renal dysfunction for patients with cirrhosis .
