Object: To study the gender roles and interpersonal relationships of normal college students, and further analyze the correlation between gender roles and interpersonal relationships, so as to offer advices for the life of college students. Two hundred and forty one normal university students were surveyed with BSRI and Harmonious Human Relationship Scale. more » ... here are significant differences in the four dimensions among students. The present state of normal college students' interpersonal relationships is good in general. Four kinds of gender roles in each dimension of interpersonal relationships have significant differences. Students of androgyny perform better than students of feminine and undifferentiation; androgyny is a better model of personality. We suggest that college students should play the advantages of their own gender role types, cultivate androgyny personality, improve interpersonal competence and build harmonious human relations.
