Polyoxometalates have been recently obtained in the superacid solutions and separated as single crystals/ An explanation of the structure and properties of solid red technetic acid, obtained recently from the results of X-ray diffraction studies, made it possible to interpret the NMR and the UV-vis spectral data obtained for [H7O3]4[Tc20O68]∙4H2O and its concentrated solutions. [NH4]4[Tc20O68]∙10H2O was also reported as the second polyoxotechnetate.
