Schooling is an essential and distinctive feature of human beings. Advances in neuroimaging have helped to understand the peculiarities of the human brain and how they relate to our interest on sharing knowledge. The human brain is an organ that evolved to enable the cognitive skills that allow social learning. In turn, education and experience have a major impact on the development of the human brain.
