In the thirty-three greater towns of England and Wales, with an estimated population of 11,218,378, for the week ending February 12th, the death-rate was 20.7. Deaths reported 4,448; acute diseases of the respiratory organs (London) 4(18, measles 171, whooping-cough 123, diphtheria 77, diarrhea49, scarlet fever 43, fever 34. The death-rates ranged from 11.3 in Croydon to 20.3 in Plymouth;
