The subject of the article is collective memory of the concept of work among the inhabitants of the Upper Silesian village of Bojszowy. The author of the study employs the classic understanding of collective memory, while simultaneously pointing to the importance of the communication process and the diversity of information sources shaping it. Empirical data was collected during research conducted in 2018 using in-depth interview techniques.
