This paper presents an evaluation of the thermal volume change of compacted specimens of the same type of silt under a wide range of stress states, initial void ratios, and suction magnitudes. Stress states include both isotropic and anisotropic conditions with varying principal stress ratios, as well as normally consolidated and overconsolidated conditions. Initial void ratios range from 0.60 to 0.86, spanning very dense to loose conditions.
