This is equivalent to 35 cents per square yard pel' year. In the succeeding Ileriod of 4Yz years ending in March, 1911, the charges were $19,500 for relaying in September. 1906, $6,250 for maintenance and repairs, and $6,400 for seven aplllications of tar, making a total cost of $32,200, and an average cost of 25 cents per square yard per year.
