An analysis of the experience of the leading countries of the world indicates that the formation of policies based on advanced scientific and evidence can accelerate the implementation of reforms, avoid common mistakes and increase the likelihood of long-term success. Policy Briefs are an effective tool for transferring research findings to policymaking. This review contains a description of the basic principles and stages of writing a Policy Brief, requirements for the structural elements of a Policy Brief and their design. The implementation of good practice in developing Policy Brief on current issues (problems) of health policy, conducting political dialogues with the involvement of all interested parties, as well as creating an understanding among policy makers of the need to use the policy options proposed in the Policy Brief as a basis for decision-making will contribute to creating a culture of use evidence of the highest quality in the professional activities of policy makers and managerial decision makers in the field of health at the level of central and local government bodies. All this will provide the conditions for creating an effective health system.
