Fluoride is an acute toxin, with a rating slightly higher than lead and is present in ground water naturally or artificially. Groundwater in India displays the presence of harmful quantities of fluoride. Fluorspar is main constituent of sand. Under the ground in presence of water when this mineral gets appropriate condition for dissolution, it gets dissolve in water and fluoride ion's get separated from sand.
