The Analogy of Muzara'ah Hadith with Fisheries Sector and it's Contribution to the Welfare of Indonesian Fishermen

The hadith of muza>ra'ah belongs to a hadith which is based on the social context of Arab society before Islam. more » ... muza>ra'ah have been talking about planting rather than catching and cultivating fish and other aquatic animals. Though fishery is part of agriculture and the extent of the sea in Indonesia and the number of rivers and lakes is an important potential in developing the economy of this country. This article reveals the similarity between muza>ra'ah and fisheries through analogy (qiya>s) so that the results-sharing model can be felt more equally between landowners and workers (fishermen), and is expected to make them more prosperous. This study uses the qiya>s theory, the social history of hadith, and Islamic economics. The results of this study indicate the necessity of muza>ra'ah hadith analogous to the sector of fisheries to achieve the welfare.
