The article examines the feasibility and the possibility o f «the language o f sociology» usage in jurisprudence. It is proved that «the language o f sociology» not only promotes the implementation o f the methodological function o f law, but actively supports «the spirit o f law» in the studying o f social processes. It is emphasized that the coexistence in the modern society o f two systems o f norms -social legal and social non-legal -requires the search fo r differentiation criteria.
