This paper presents the results of radioecological research of the Karakol River basin in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgystan. The Karakol River has a snow-glacier feed, the chemical concentration of the water is slightly mineralized and it is of calcium-hydrocarbonate-sulfate type. The concentration of radionuclide was determined in soil, water, river bottom sediments and the city of Karakol. The values of concentrations are varied within the natural regional background, but a significant increase
