To review published literature on the use of quick response (QR) codes within healthcare education. In addition, the authors aimed to gain information on user perceptions and the challenges faced when implementing QR codes in an educational context. Methods Medline, EMBASE, CINAHL, HMIC and HBE were searched using specified search terms that included 'quick response code' and 'education'.
