Hydroxyapatite (HAP), the major inorganic composition of mammal bones, has good biocompatibility, biological activity and osteoconductivity. Gadolinium(Gd) with seven unpaired electron on 4f orbit can be used for MRI contrast agent due to its large electron spin magnetic moment and relaxivity.
