The School Experiences of Middle-school Students in the Free Learning Semester

Free Learning Semester, the new education policy of middle schools in Korea, will be completely implemented in 2016. The purpose of this study was to explore the school experiences of middle-school students in the Free Learning Semester through qualitative approach. In-depth interview was conducted with 8 middle-school students from the purposive sampling. As a result of the analysis, 10 essential themes were identified.
