Civic and patriotic songs have been present in daily school life during the past decades of 30 to 40, they were obligatory in order to arouse feelings of Brazilianness in the population of this country. The Education Course sought to stimulate the future teachers to practice the civic songs in order to turn them into trainers of the new Brazilian citizen.
