Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been introduced in Malaysia as mandatory since 1988 as a measurement tool to achieve sustainable development. Quarry operations has raised some environmental implications of the ecological system, especially the environment. This is accomplished through the review of the EIA report by the assessment of ecological inputs to determine the adequacy and compliance and observation at the project site to review the implications that arise.
