The aim of this study is to develop an analytical model to determine temperature and thermal stresses distributions in a single plate clutch during the slipping phase. Proposed expressions enable calculation of temperature and thermal stresses on the contact surface as well as at any depth inside the friction material and at any instant during the slipping period. It was investigated how the maximum temperature on the friction surface varies with the thickness of the friction facings of thedoi:10.15480/882.2738 fatcat:3qeyn3edbbhjzgnxsgtessqaii
