A method for determining effective thermal conductivity of an aquifer is developed in this study. The analytical and experimental studies were conducted by using one-dimensional flow model. The experimental equipment is shown in Fig. 2 . The pipe packed with glass-beases was used as a porous media. The dimensionless groups of temperature, distance and effective thermal conductivity were defined in Eq. ( 2 ) , Eq. (3 ) and Eq. ( 5 ), respectively. The thermal comductivity may be predicted by
