The focus of his research is the history of the formation and development of Tukay Studies in Tatar literary criticism of the 20 th century. The researcher has greatly contributed to the expansion of our ideas on the history of Tatar literature in the first third of the twentieth century, and has deepened our understanding of the literary criticism development. The analysis of T. Gilazov's literary-critical and scientific heritage and its evaluation in the literary paradigm will make it possible to identify new facets not only in the scientific activity of the researcher, but also in the development of modern Tatar literary studies in general.
