Chronic otitis media leads to ear discharge, hearing loss and tympanic membrane perforation. Tympanic membrane perforation leads to hearing loss. Perforation in the tympanic membrane can be seen in different quadrants and of different sizes. Hearing loss varies in each individual depending on the perforation size, shape and position.
