... ed a HSRP based mutlihomed network frame work and simulated the scenarios for two different applications running over the network. In this paper, we have simulated scenario on QualNet HSRP model which is based on RFC 2281 and the results are tabulated. This paper helps the researches to understand the scenario implemented in various companies having two or more internet connectivity (ISPs) to achieve reliable network by using redundancy protocols (Gateway Redundancy Protocols) such as HSRP, VRRP and GLBP. This paper briefs the importance of HSRP based Multihomed network for high reliability. Performance evaluation is done on IPV4 and IPv6 based network which is the need for current network existence.
