Systematic Search For Young Field Dwarfs In Large Spectroscopic Surveys

One of the key questions in exoplanetary science is formation conditions and early stages of planet lives. The search for young K and M dwarfs in the Solar neighbourhood below 100 Myr is thus essential to characterize their young planets. Here we present systematic data-driven and model-independent search of young field single stars in large stellar surveys. more » ... surveys and identifying stars with spectroscopic features of stellar youth. In the GALAH survey, we identify over 3000 stars with detectable Lithium absorption line, and 38,000 candidate active stars with Ca II infrared triplet emission in the RAVE survey.
