It is often observed that global warming and climate change are used interchangeably, but in reality both are applicable to different phenomena. Due to this, devastating effects like flooding, low productivity in agriculture, low vegetation etc. Scientists, researchers and environmentalists have expressed deep concerns over climate change. The central aim of the research paper is to understand the concept and factors relating to global warming and climate change. The researcher also analyzes how shifting from non-renewable energy resources to renewable energy resources such as solar, wind, hydro thermal, geothermal is beneficial for the planet. Utilizing renewable energy sources is one of the most effective ways to combat global warming. The research is based on existing documents such as newspapers, books, internet, articles etc.
