he concept of artistic unity, in Ancient Arabic criticism, is achieved through the smallest unity. This is expressed through the poetic verse, which is meaningfully and rhythmically a unit that possess its own integrity. Thus, this makes it separate from the poem. However, this separation becomes a connection when it participates with other verses to build the poem. So, we may argue that this unity creates a separation on the level of the poetic line.
