A framework for achieving inter-application isolation in multiprogrammed, hard real-time environments
Proceedings 21st IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium
A f r amework for scheduling a number of di erent real-time applications on a single shared p r eemptable processor is proposed. This framework enforces complete isolation among the di erent applications, such that the behavior of each application is very similar to its behavior if it had been executing on a slower dedicated p r ocessor. A scheduling algorithm that implements this framework is presented a n d p r oved c orrect.
